This will be one of those books that will remain on my shelf to be read time and time again. August is just a little boy lost, he hates what he is and just wants to be normal, be human, he cherishes life and doesn’t want to take it even when it is a necessity. The author, Jack Carr, has a remarkable story of his own, serving in Naval Special Warfare for over 20 years. The Terminal List is also a really engrossing story. Kate behaves how she does to try and gain her father’s approval but under it all she has a heart, she isn’t that sort of person. It shows the author’s deep affiliation for gun craftsmanship. The characters were enjoyable and left you wanting to learn more about them. It had everything you’d want from a gripping fantasy novel. I enjoyed it from the first moment to the last and didn’t want to actually finish. Needless to say the reviews were spot on, this was fantastic read. I didn’t want to be let down when it had such good reviews. I had heard so much about this book that I was a little nervous to read it. But how long will they survive in a city where no one is safe and monsters are real.
